Program Manager - Financing and Digitalization of agricultural value chains (Permanent Contract)

To support small farmers in developing countries, ADA has launched the F 2.0 program (Farmer 2.0). Through a digital platform, this program connects producer organizations with financial institutions to facilitate the purchase and supply of inputs, agricultural insurance, storage, and resale of crops. Initiated in 2020 in Senegal and then in Ethiopia, F2.0 reaches more than 7,500 producers by the end of 2023, and ADA wishes to strengthen this program in these two countries and extend it to other countries, particularly in West Africa.

In this context, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the program's development operations. You will also be responsible for identifying new solutions and opportunities to strengthen the financing dynamics with current partners and to promote geographical expansion in West Africa.

The position to be filled is based in Luxembourg City, with regular missions to the countries concerned.

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in the management of the program, including:
  • Monitoring activities with local implementation partners, notably through monitoring and advisory missions in the countries of intervention;
  • Defining and rigorously monitoring performance and reporting indicators;
  • Budget and administrative management.
  • Provide partner financial institutions of the program with expertise in defining credit products and designing procedures for granting and monitoring these credits;

Your profile

  • University degree in development economics, international cooperation, development project management, or (ideally and) training in agronomy;
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience acquired in a financial institution, fintech, or agri-tech;
  • Interest and good knowledge of issues related to inclusive finance, digital tools (fintech and/or agritech), agriculture, and international development in general (poverty alleviation, climate change);

Call for applications - consultants

Consulting services to assess and enhance entrepreneurship support services for MSMEs in Rwanda 

We are seeking experienced consultant(s) or consulting firms with a deep understanding of entrepreneurship support services to conduct a comprehensive assessment for the Private Sector Federation (PSF). This initiative aims to evaluate and enhance the support services offered to Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) by PSF, focusing on identifying areas for improvement to better meet the needs of PSF members. 

Your mission:

  • Evaluate the current entrepreneurship support services provided by PSF in Rwandan ecosystem. 
  • Assess the effectiveness of these services in supporting MSMEs to become investment-ready. 
  • Identify gaps and propose actionable improvements to better serve the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
